Ikea wanted to start the year with a bang, so it has presented its new products for our home where accessories play a big role. Design and very versatile, these proposals want to sneak into our house with the intention of maximizing decoration.

Ilse Crawford signs the most beautiful vases of the season

Vases are the new must-have in the home, capable of decorating rooms with their mere presence. Empty or with flowers, they add a genuine touch to the room. Designed by Ilse Crawford, they have been created with reclaimed glass and using the blown technique by master craftsmen.

Some are smooth and clear, others are matte and opaque or frosted, while others have air bubbles trapped in the glass.

Some cushion covers that will not go unnoticed

The time has come to decorate our bed or our sofa with fun (and on a low budget), and what better way than to do it with some striking cushion covers. Designed by Akanksha Deo, they come with hand-embroidered details by social entrepreneurs at the Jordan River Foundation -an association that creates jobs for refugee women from Jordan-.

In the corner of each cushion is the signature of the artisan who wove it.

The Symfonisk collection becomes a 2 for 1

Once again, Ikea and Sonos launch a new generation of the Symfonisk speaker lamp -the original design was presented in 2019-. This new version offers different customization possibilities and presents a new acoustic architecture that provides a wider and more enveloping sound. In this way, both firms remind us of the importance that light and sound play in the home.

This new speaker lamp allows for greater customization as the base and shade are sold separately. In this way, one can choose the color of the base -white or black-; and screens of different styles and colors: between a version of fabric or glass, and in black or white.

Welcome spring with the new Anledning collection

The new Anledning collection wants to dress our home with a spring style full of poppies. Although we will have to wait until April 2022 to get hold of it, the firm shows us a preview of what this collection will be. Delicate and timeless, these proposals want to help us plan meetings with friends both outside and inside the home.

With a design signed by Hanna Klarqvist, these proposals focus on decorative items for the table and stand out for their functionality: everything combines easily. The tableware in this collection has a perfect balance between decorative and timeless, with the aim that it can be combined with other plates and bowls.

In addition, aware of the pollution that plastic produces, this collection offers us alternatives with other materials, such as the borosilicate glass with which the straws have been made.

Keeping the bathroom tidy (and stylish)

Keeping the bathroom clean and tidy can sometimes seem like an impossible mission, but it's easier than we might think. Ikea proposes some woven baskets that become the best solution to hide (for example) the laundry.

Woven by master artisans, they are made of 100% bamboo (another ecological material). In addition, they come with a cloth bag with a handle so that we can easily transport clothes.

Mirror, mirror... Ikea wants us to decorate rooms with style while providing functionality and design, and this mirror designed by Aaron Probyn is a example. With a retro-inspired frame, its interior rail will allow us to hang scarves, costume jewelery or small accessories.
