It is not news that Fernando Alonso loves the United States. There he has had very good moments away from the Formula One spotlight. They were many weeks on vacation and the perfect place for no one to recognize him between 2005 and 2012. Now, after participating in the Indy500, it may not be so unnoticed. He really likes the American lifestyle, his sense of showmanship, the respect they have for the athlete and the appreciation they make of great pilots like him. It was this that attracted him to face challenges as challenging as the most important race on an oval circuit or even the 24 hours of Daytona, which he won in his first participation together with Taylor, Kobayashi and Van der Zande. This weekend he competes with Alpine in the F-1 United States Grand Prix in Texas, but before that he had time to attend the opening of the first store of his clothing brand, Kimoa, in Miami. He stressed that the United States "is probably the biggest target of Formula One", noting that there are rumors of negotiations for competitions in Las Vegas and Indianapolis.
About his brand of sports clothing and accessories, including helmets, glasses and caps, made from recycled and recyclable materials, which began as a business with friends (with his cousin Alberto) he said it was a way to get out of his « comfort zone outside of cars and competition. Alonso participates in the approval of new designs and tests the occasional accessory before it is put up for sale. The Spaniard inaugurated the first of fifty bicycle and electric motorcycle and sportswear stores that he plans in the United States for the next five years. And he did it with the presence of the mayor of the city, Francis Suárez. Gone are the rumors about the closure of the company and its losses.
