Asus 23 years old and five years dedicated to modeling, Juanita Álvarez assures that “in order to succeed”, models “must not be perfect”. This young paisa, who has been an image for nationally recognized brands, says that from this industry she "has learned to accept and love more" herself. She says that currently "the stereotypes" that have existed for decades are being broken and that "thanks to that" the women who dedicate themselves to this trade today appear "more real and natural" before the spectators.
That is why, according to Juanita, “the most important thing” in a model is that she knows “what sets her apart from the rest so that she can potentiate that added value” when the brands do the castings. "The model should not be the most perfect, but the one who accepts herself and knows that we are all different and that beauty lies in that difference (...) This also helps the girls who see us with their self-esteem because for me, Beyond modeling, it is important to generate a positive impact on people”.
Now, Juanita is looking to break into acting, as she would like to explore her facet as an actress. She is also working on positioning herself at a national level and, in the future, projecting herself internationally. In addition, she wants to specialize in digital marketing to enhance her brand as a model, especially on social networks.
