The well-known Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton has once again changed the racing circuits for the workshops of the clothing brand Tommy Hilfiger, where he has designed the 'TommyxLewis' capsule collection.
The brand and the driver have presented an autumn/winter campaign showcasing Hilfiger 's classic style alongside Hamilton 's bolder, more colorful side.
" Lewis Hamilton is not only the number one driver in the world but he is also a person who has a passion for fashion and has very specific ideas about what he likes and what he would like to see designed," Hilfiger said in an interview with EFE .
For this reason, this collection is a reflection of their taste for fashion, where turtleneck sweaters, tracksuits and sports and casual clothes are mixed with classic checked shirts and jackets lined with fleece.
'TommyxLewis' does not lose any luxury of details, since it also has other accessories and garments such as backpacks and sports bags, also made of fleece and velvet, along with hats and printed visors.
The footwear collection has nineties-style sneakers, the so-called “chunky”, and mountain-inspired boots. In addition, they also include checked underwear and socks in basic tones such as black and white .
As a result of this collaboration, the classic brand logo has been combined with the initials of the British pilot (“LH”).
The collection, which is made with sustainable and recyclable materials such as cotton, will be available in its stores and online stores from September 2, 2019.
It is the third time that Tommy Hilfiger has chosen the pilot to design a collection. Last September they presented their first collaboration “TommyNow Icons” together in a spectacular parade in Shanghai. The relationship has been consolidated in the last year and it seems that this will not be the definitive one that they do together.
