With the arrival of good weather, white sneakers take center stage on our feet. However, the fear of dirt and how cumbersome it can be to have to constantly clean them may cause us some hesitation to use them as often as we would like.
Depending on the fabric, removing dirt stains may be somewhat difficult. But, especially if we are quick, it is possible to remove stains and leave our shoes as good as new.
One of the most common mistakes is wanting to clean the shoes with the laces included. However, due to the fabric that most have, a solution of soap and water and a lot of patience is enough to leave the laces as good as new. If we don't remove them, we can spread the dirt they harbor to the rest of the shoe.
In canvas and conventional mesh shoes, the bleaching properties of baking soda will allow us to remove even the deepest stains. The only thing that we will need is to gather a spoonful of baking soda and an amount of water equivalent to two glasses in a recent small.
Once we have removed the solution, with a soft bristle toothbrush, preventing it from damaging the fabric, it will be enough for us to start cleaning all the stains present on our shoe.
If what we want is to clean leather shoes, its characteristics will make cleaning easier. We will only need a toothbrush. For synthetic fur you can have the hardest bristles. However, in natural leathers it is convenient that the bristles are somewhat softer, trying to keep the quality of said leather intact.
In cases where we find footwear with a more delicate fabric, such as suede or something of a similar nature, it is convenient that we use products that do not use chemical residues. Coarse salt can help us make our shoes look like new using a brush with very soft bristles.
For all types of fabrics, erasers can help us clean shallower stains on our shoes. The only important thing to keep in mind is that the rubber must be completely new, because if it has traces of paint or pencil it will achieve the opposite effect, staining the surface of the shoe even more.
Due to the material with which they are made, we can rub as much as we want without fear of damaging the fabric of our favorite shoe.
